A Poem from Janet Cannon's  Poetry Room at IsleWrite.com

high noon

sun distorts the distance
between here and there
after a ferocious short-
lived still dripping shower

subsides exposing a
steep triple ring rainbow
she built that haloes
the mountain drenched

in color and glistening
over the valley view
below the wind is still
under the sudden storm
