A Poem from Janet Cannon's  Poetry Room at IsleWrite.com

our house fly

bloated and
bothersome exploring
the multicolored

patchwork quilt
on the bed the flying
annoyance sounds

like a close helicopter
hovering buzzing
and landing on then

off and on and on
again until i nudge
him to leave gently

flicking him into
the mouth of the
otherwise quiet room
