one side of over
|
we are more than one zip
code digit away now but
we share the same sun on
opposite coasts between
face time cell phone calls
texts and e-mail notes for
months we channel dear
john virtually breathing the
same continent's air flexing
our heart muscles with
clear ambivalence that
divides our flow with
doubts we see what is over
now for me i want you to
know i have drawn a line
thru the sand of my today
remembering our waves
splashes and our calm seas
