A Poem from Janet Cannon's
|
the secret
|
under my skin on
the last layer lowest
near the beginning
of musical muscles
before the bone
you live you have
for a long strong time
now going unnoticed
by everyday folks you
saunter through who
i am inside my heart
reinforcing remembering
and releasing your who
you are when i need
you most and confiding
your best in superlative
songs in my head while
i whistle walking down
telegraph avenue people
thinking they see only me
