A Poem from Janet Cannon's  Poetry Room at IsleWrite.com

two candles

invariably two
candles burning
both at the same
time looking alike

exactly sized
and colored however
perpetually one
cascades amaining

the other dripping
and pouring its center
on outside walls
ahead forsaking

unity for the speed
           of the chase
